A sacrament is an outward sign of God's loving presence and action in our lives. The Sacrament of Matrimony is the sign through which a man and a woman recognize, celebrate and deepen the love of God in their love for each other, and commit themselves to a permanent, exclusive, committed partnership of life and love with God at the center.
Preparing for Your Wedding
If you are a Catholic who is a registered parishioner of St. Brigid, or if you are a Catholic who is living within the territorial boundaries of St. Brigid parish, you are encouraged to celebrate your wedding here! Church arrangements for weddings must be made at least 6 months ahead. We strongly advise making arrangements with the parish before signing contracts for reception plans. Please call the Parish Office at 516-334-0021 to meet with a priest or deacon. This initial meeting will cover all the necessary “paperwork” and will secure your wedding date on the Church calendar if everything is in order. The priest or deacon will also explain what is expected of you regarding Marriage Preparation. Remember: Do not set a date with reception venues until you have confirmed your church date and time.

If desired, we will try and arrange to have your church wedding celebration live-streamed. Complete this online form to request that the wedding celebration is made available online to those who cannot attend the church service for any reason. We will do our best to accommodate your live-streaming request, but circumstances may affect the availability (e.g. technical difficulties).
DONATING TO ST. BRIGID'S
It is appropriate and encouraged to make an offering to the Church at the time of this great celebration. Your offering aids with some of the expenses related to the wedding but more importantly is a sign of your commitment to the mission of the Church, especially here at St. Brigid’s.
A good rule of thumb is to “tithe” and consider offering 10% of the cost of one’s reception and make that amount an offering to the Church. The principle of tithing is rich in Scripture and is a good measure for your consideration. Rest assured, your offering will go a long way in the mission of caring for the poor and the vulnerable here at St. Brigid’s.
A minimum suggested offering of $800.00 to St. Brigid’s.

El Sacramento del Matrimonio es el signo a través del cual un hombre y una mujer reconocen, celebran y profundizan el amor de Dios en su amor mutuo, y se comprometen a una asociación permanente, exclusiva y comprometida de vida y amor con Dios en el centro.
Preparando su Boda
Si usted es un católico registrado como feligrés de Santa Brígida, o si usted es un católico que vive dentro de los límites territoriales de la parroquia de Santa Brígida, ¡le animamos a celebrar su boda aquí! Los preparativos de la iglesia para las bodas deben hacerse con al menos 6 meses de antelación. DONACIONES A ST. BRIGID'S
Es apropiado y alentador hacer una ofrenda a la Iglesia en el momento de esta gran celebración. Su ofrenda ayuda con algunos de los gastos relacionados con la boda, pero lo más importante es un signo de su compromiso con la misión de la Iglesia, especialmente aquí en Santa Brígida.
