...The word of the Lord came to me:
Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel,
in these words prophesy to them to the shepherds:
Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the shepherds of Israel
who have been pasturing themselves!
Should not shepherds, rather, pasture sheep?
You have fed off their milk, worn their wool,
and slaughtered the fatlings,
but the sheep you have not pastured.
You did not strengthen the weak nor heal the sick
nor bind up the injured.
You did not bring back the strayed nor seek the lost,
but you lorded it over them harshly and

Primera lectura Ezequiel 34, 1-11
...En aquellos días, el Señor me habló y me dijo: “Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los pastores de Israel y diles: ‘Esto dice el Señor: ¡Ay de los pastores de Israel, que se apacientan a sí mismos! ¿No deben los pastores apacentar a las ovejas? Pero ustedes se toman la leche de ellas, se visten con su lana, sacrifican las ovejas mejor alimentadas y no apacientan al rebaño. No fortalecen a las ovejas débiles, no curan a las enfermas ni cuidan a las que están heridas. No hacen volver a las descarriadas ni buscan a las perdidas, sino que las dominan con crueldad y violencia.
