    Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign,
    and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. 
    His mother's name was Nehushta,
    daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
    He did evil in the sight of the LORD,
    just as his forebears had done.

    At that time the officials of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon,
    attacked Jerusalem, and the city came under siege.

    while his servants were besieging it.

    Primera lectura 2 Reyes 24, 8-17

    Joaquín tenía dieciocho años cuando subió al trono, y reinó tres meses en Jerusalén. Su madre se llamaba Nejustá, hija de Elnatán, de Jerusalén. Joaquín, igual que su padre, hizo lo que el Señor reprueba.

    En aquel tiempo, subió contra Jerusalén el ejército de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y sitió la ciudad. Nabucodonosor llegó a la ciudad mientras sus hombres la sitiaban. Entonces Joaquín, rey de Judá, junto con su madre, sus servidores, sus jefes y sus funcionarios, se rindieron al rey de Babilonia y éste los hizo prisioneros.
