Bishop Andrzej Zglejszewski, auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, offered a morning of prayer and reflection for all of our liturgical minsters in the parish on Saturday morning, March 18th. We begin with Mass celebrated by Bishop Andrzej followed by breakfast and the bishop’s presentation to our liturgical ministers. Many Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Ushers, choir members and liturgical musicians were present.
These pictures are from our 7:00 am Mass with Fr. Jason. Over 6,000 people come all during the day and evening to St. Brigid's every Ash Wednesday to receive Ashes as the Church begins the solemn feast of Lent.
On Sunday, February 12, 2017, the parish celebrated the Wedding Anniversary of couples married 25 or 50 years. It was a great celebration! God's continued blessings on all those who share in God's life and love as married couples!

It takes many people to be involved in the work of Faith Formation.
On Saturday, November 5th, 2016, we honored and celebrated the generosity of those in our parish who "echo" the faith as catechists in our Faith Formation efforts.
Further, Carly Barten was honored by the Diocese of Rockville Centre for 25 years of catechetical ministry.
Many thanks to all those who share the faith with others in our parish!

We celebrated Sister Ann Horn's 50th Anniversary of becoming part of the Sisters of St. Dominic, Amityville. Through these 50 years of ministry, Sr. Ann has embodied the Dominican charism of the Holy Preaching though prayer, study, community and ministry. Keep Sr. Ann in your prayers as she continues her ministry as a Consecrated Woman Religious committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Also this day, we celebrated another vocation, this one to Marriage. Fr. Tony blessed Lenny and Terry Aloisio on the occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary. May God continue to bless Lenny and Terry as they continue living out the Sacrament of Marriage.
Our annual Parish Outreach Baby Shower Program provides mothers with spiritual support, our friendship, and the necessities to care for their newborns. We begin our program with a luncheon to encourage integration into our community. St. Brigid's parishioners provide us with traditional baby shower gifts to distribute. We invite a guest speaker to talk to our mothers on topics relative to them. Lastly, we try to make our mothers aware of programs available at our local hospitals.
Our 2016 Baby Shower had 50 women participate. Many thanks to all who attended and helped make this event possible!
