St. Brigid’s Church is having a Blood Drive on Thursday, May 25th from 3pm to 9pm in Code Auditorium at St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope School. A parent, grandparent or guardian donating blood on that day will receive 2 NUT (No Uniform Today) Cards for use at St.B/OLH and can enter a raffle for 1 free week of summer camp at St.B/OLH.
The Blood Drive is successful because of those of you who come every time we announce a drive-- and we thank you. But, for those who do not donate, we are asking you to consider saving three lives with your blood and answering the gospel message, “Do unto others as they would do unto you.” If some day you need blood it will come from someone who donated. You might want to return the favor.
If you decide to donate, you should bring an ID with a signature or photo. There are forms, as well as people drawing your blood, in both English and Spanish. To donate you need to be a minimum weight of 110 lbs and between the ages of 16 to 75. All 16 year olds must have permission from a parent or guardian, and all 76 year olds and above need a doctor’s note.
